The Bel Stewart ARJ45 does not have a switch present because the applications targeted with the ARJ45 jack do not require a switch. For example, if a piece of active equipment requires the bandwidth of a 1000MHz connector system, then an RJ45 interface would not be needed because it could not perform at those levels. Therefore a switch would add no value.
