According to the voltage and current rating, the applications can be covered with monolithic or discrete solutions. Applications, up to 52 V, where the current rating does not exceed 3 A rms, is the segment where PowerSPIN is applicable and provides advantages. For anything above that, ST uses external gate drivers, which are typically used for higher power industrial applications, factory automation, and lighting.
