Another benefit when using a dual inductor in a SEPIC or Zeta Converter is that the inductance can be 50% less because the ripple current will split between the two windings. This will reduce the DC resistance and improve the overall efficiency. In the table we show a dual inductor vs. two similar single inductor models. The DC resistance is between 36-44% less when compared to the single winding inductors.
