These devices are designed to be placed between the switch and the powered device combing power and data over a single cable. Phihong offers midspans with outputs of 15.4W, 33.6W, 60W, 75W, 80W and 95W per port and has even developed a special “hybrid” model combing the 802.3af and 802.3at standards in a single unit.
