These waveforms represent diode switching characteristics taken from a working inverter circuit. Note the large reverse recovery current in the Si PiN device. The recovery peak current is almost 19A with a recovery time of 141ns. The Wolfspeed SiC example shows elimination of the recovery current showing only a small capacitive loss that is independent of temperature.
