Both EM2260 and EM2280 operate from a wide 4.5 V to 16 V input range and provides 60 A/80 A of continuous current with no thermal derating up to approximately 75˚C. The EM2260 and EM2280 provide between 0.5 V to 1.3 V output voltage; suiting both well to power processor/FPGA cores or any other high current applications. The initial set point accuracy of 0.5% will help ease designs requiring very low output noise and output ripple is a minimal sub 10 mV peak to peak, easily meeting the tightest processor or FPGA tolerance requirements. Both devices feature a digital adaptive control loop which internally compensates the design for increased simplicity and ease of use. Also featured is a PMBus 1.3 compliant digital interface which enables flexibility in adjusting output voltage, fault/warning limits, and telemetry for device status monitoring. The EM22xx devices come in a 23 x 18 QFN package and requires an overall solution size of approximately 650 mm² total including all external passives.
