The EM22xx devices provide excellent output voltage ripple and load transient performance. For the EM2260 at a full 60 A load, the output ripple is less than 10 mV. The EM22xx devices maintain excellent transient response while helping to reduce the bulk output capacitor count to save on cost, board space, and improve system reliability. For the EM2260 at a typical 50% or 30 A load step, the voltage deviation is less than 30 mV with the minimal base capacitance. An increase to output capacitance can further improve these results if necessary. The EM2280 also maintains similar performance for output ripple at full 80 A load and transient deviation with 50% / 40 A load step.
